AI Autofill
AI Autofill turns a pile of a client’s documents into a first-pass form draft. Drop in their passport, I-94, prior notices, and intake responses; Fola reads the data out of them and fills the form for you. It runs in the background, so you can keep working while it goes, and you watch the form populate in a live preview.

How a run works
Section titled “How a run works”-
Pick the form and the client you’re filling for.
-
Drop in the documents. Whatever you have — passport, I-94, prior receipt notices, intake responses. The more Fola has to read from, the more it can fill.
-
Start the run. Autofill kicks off as a background job — you don’t have to sit and wait. Move on to other work; Fola keeps filling.
-
Watch the live preview. The form populates field by field in front of you as the job runs, so you can see what’s being pulled and from where.
-
Review and publish. When the job finishes, walk the draft to confirm the extracted values, then publish.
The flattened final lands in the vault
Section titled “The flattened final lands in the vault”When you publish, Fola writes a flattened final PDF to the client’s Documents vault under Forms. Flattened means the field values are baked into the page — it’s a finished document, not an editable draft — ready to send for signature or file.
What it reads from
Section titled “What it reads from”Autofill pulls from whatever you give it for the client:
- Uploaded documents — passports, I-94s, prior notices, evidence.
- Identity record — the structured data already on the client’s Identity tab.
- Intake responses — what the client submitted through their intake link.
The more complete the client’s file, the less the form leaves blank.
Metering
Section titled “Metering”AI Autofill is metered per plan tier. Each run counts against your firm’s monthly Autofill allowance:
- Every tier has an Autofill cap per seat that pools across the firm.
- On paid tiers, runs past the cap can be billed as overage if your admin has allowed it.
- Demo orgs are hard-capped — no overage, no surprise charges.
Check My AI Usage in the workspace nav before you queue several runs back-to-back. The full numbers per tier live on the billing reference, and org-level quota controls are covered in Day 7 — AI quotas.
